In the middle of January, I hopped on a train to London for Comms Connect Live at 22 Bishopsgate. Our partner Giacom hosted it, it was a chance to learn how their connectivity, mobile and security partners can help us support your business even better.

What Happened There
Over 200 tech experts in one room, MSPs like us, network providers, security specialists, and industry leaders. The day included keynote speakers, panel discussions, breakout rooms for deep dives, experts on hand to answer questions, and a proper workspace with coffee and lunch provided. It had the best bits of a trade show without the exhausting scale. You could actually have conversations instead of collecting brochures and sore feet.
One panel had reps from Sky, BT, EE, and Vodafone sitting together, and they were surprisingly honest. One actually called their own company a "rigid, slow beast." Another admitted they struggle to give small businesses the personal attention they need because of their scale. It was refreshing and it confirmed exactly why working with a local partner makes sense.

The Big Takeaway
Here's what surprised me: 70-90% of businesses still buy their mobile and internet directly from the giants.
